DELPOZO
DELPOZO by Josep Font FW 2013
Amazingly exquisite and delicate. Josep Font for DELPOZO is a treat for the senses. Undoubtedly elegant, sophisticated and wearable at the same time.
This work reminds me of some names such as Balenciaga, Dior, Valentino or Giambattista Valli, not because I am comparing them but for the powerful image of excellence and beauty the work itself reflects. So inspiring.
I am always sceptical and very critical with Spanish fashion and I must recognize I do not specially like what Spanish fashion resembles. I have always believed we are late adopters as we do not invest enough resources to find inspiration, materials and professionals to work with in order to create something really good.
I am happy to see that some designers are trying to do something out of governmental funds support to go further, to reach new levels.
Congratulations Josep Font for DELPOZO on his impeccable work.
Gone with the wind
Giles Deacon SS 2013
Remember Giles´ fall-winter 12-13 collection. Never a catastrophe had such a beautiful ending with models wearing exquisite and still wonderful burned gowns after a fire in a noble house.
This season we can keep appreciating the effects from the tragedy. I have no words to describe how amazing this work is.

Balenciaga FW 2013 by Alexander Wang
She is so magnetic, so elegant, that only she is able to add more value to the things she does, the clothes she wears. I personally believe that nobody better than her could represent the new Balenciaga´s era under the direction of Alexander Wang.
I must recognize I was sceptical about the naming of Alexander Wang as a new Creative Director of the fashion house. However, his first collection for Balenciaga is amazing, full of details and references to the brand´s dna and heritage and not very far from the work that former Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière did to preserve and elevate the modern and exquisite technique of its visionary founder, the Spanish Balenciaga.
Male femininity
JW Anderson menswear FW 2013
Few days ago I read an interview on Hypebeast magazine about the designer J.W. Anderson where he explained his particular point of view about masculine fashion. I end up loving his work even more than before.
"People come to us to buy an idea, something which is more broad-minded." says J.W. Anderson and I can´t agree more with him. At least this is what I look for within fashion, new things that make me change, evolve.
But, here is my thing, wearing these pieces is not about feeling or dressing like a woman, to me it makes sense when a man is able to wear it as natural as possible. Not an easy task.
A fashion tale by Giles
Giles fall 2012
The idea of a noble country house accidentally burning on flames and people rushing out was the inspiration for this astonishing collection designed by Giles Deacon. What would you take with you? seems to be the question.
Romanticism and delicacy to inspire a fall season where chiffon, organza, tulle, laser cut, metallic lace, burnt tapestry and many more amazing details tell us about the story and its tragic end.
Deacon not only is a master in the art of fashion but also creating atmospheres. Never a catastrophe was so exquisitely chic.

Céline FW 2012
Lorri Ott. Art pieces in resin pigment and tape.
I have always insisted on the idea that fashion is an expression of art, here you have the evidence. These works of Lorri Ott are as sublime as Céline´s collection.
