I love people like her more than anything. People who are not afraid of being themselves. Style is much more than wearing the latest, it´s about being genuinely unique, like her.  

There are many images of her wearing crazy and wonderful outfits but, I personally like this one because it doesn´t show the outfit or the ambience, it just reflects the essence.

The legend of Anna Piaggi

Fashion system loses one of its greatest icons, the journalist and Italian Vogue fashion contributor Anna Piaggi has passed away today at the age of 81 years old. 

The key to the Piaggi style? Irreverence, eclecticism and years of research: she mixes new designer clothing with obscure vintage haute couture, antique fabrics, ballet costume and bric-a-brac. Her hats are, almost always, by Stephen Jones, her shoes by Manolo Blahnik, "unless they're rubber boots. Simplicity and excess live very well together, I think. It's best not to be too coordinated," Piaggi says. "They come and go the clothes. I'm not a collector or a historian. I live through the moment."
